The Vampire Diaries is a TV series in the United States, based on a series of books written by LJ Smith. The series currently on air on Thursday at 8/7c on the CW Network in the United States and on CTV in Canada.

Four months after a car accident kills her parents, 17-year-old Elena Gilbert and her 15-year-old brother Jeremy are trying to find a way to move on with their lives to find. Elena is a good student, smart and popular. When the school year begins, introduced Elena and her friends to a mysterious and beautiful new student named Stefan Salvatore. Stefan and Elena are attracted to each other, but Elena does not realize that he is a centuries-old vampire a hard time to live among men to fight. Executive producers Kevin Williamson of Dawson’s Creek and Scream, Julie Plec of Kyle XY and desolate, Leslie Stein Morning Gossip Girl and privileged, and Bob Levy of Gossip Girl and privileged. “Pilot” was directed by Marcos Siega Dexter.

Interviewed on 5 March 2009 in the Hollywood Reporter CW Entertainment President Dawn Ostroff, who told The Vampire Diaries say. It’s more like” Twilight “and” Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
